May 30, 1971, Mariner 9 Launched Toward Mars / Try The Red Planet Burger, Red and Golden Beet Salad, Tortilla Espanola with Asparagus

Mariner 9 was launched toward Mars on May 30, 1971 and reached the planet on November 14 of the same year. Mariner 9 was the first spacecraft to orbit another planet. This is an achievement worth commemorating. Do so with a Red Planet Burger and a trip to the rocket.
