The new Space Station Salad is aboard ship today. This is a straight-up, old-school, grandpa style salad. Organic green leaf lettuce from Freedom Farm in Johnston is tossed with extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar and red onion. Narragansett Creamery Fresh Mozzarella tops it off.

Don’t want onions on your salad? Ask to leave them off. However the man at left, my Grandpa, would advise against it. He would say that you need new friends and that you ought to grow a pair. He spent a period of his life killing Nazis in Italy and onions hardly concerned him. Besides, onion breath is preferable to cat food breath.
