Kennedy Plaza for Lunch, Thayer for Dinner / Von Steuben Arrives At Valley Forge and You Get A FREE Cookie

The first nine people to order using their best French accent get a FREE Chocolate-Dipped Espresso Shortbread Cookie with their purchase.
Why?
Because on February 23, 1778, Baron von Steuben arrives at Valley Forge and starts drilling soldiers, instilling confidence and discipline in the demoralized Continental Army. Von Steuben did not speak English and drafted a drill manual in French. Alexander Hamilton and Nathanael Greene then translated it into English. In order to take their minds off the brutal cold, Hamilton and Greene spent many hilarious hours in their tent making fun of Von Steuben’s accent when speaking French. This was no doubt inspired by Von Steuben’s fondness for overweight white cats, of which a dozen accompanied him to Valley Forge.
